Well, we sure had a hell of a time at 50 on Fire. The Howard Theatre was jam-packed with D.C. innovators there to celebrate the people who have been lighting up their industries in 2016. From venture capitalists to architects to coders to craft brewers, we had a huge array of talented guests to party with.

And party we did. All the way to a 2 am stop at Ben’s for halfsmokes and cheese fries. But the best part of the night was getting to celebrate local innovation and recognize the leaders who are carrying the flag forward for all of us.

A huge shoutout to our 50 on Fire sponsors, the Consumer Technology Association, Solebrity, ZenDesk, Gabriel Marketing Group, Howard Theatre and Bruce Pike Productions. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Every year we bring our 150 finalists in for a three day photoshoot before 50 on Fire. Our video team at GRVTY uses the images and video to create a truly kickass video featuring the 50 winners. We announce the winners by showing the video live at our 50 on Fire event, and get to watch people celebrate as they and their coworkers and friends pop up on the screen.

So check out the video to see who was on fire in 2016:
