Tonight’s the night, as the Red Sox, for the 12th time in their dramatic history, enter a World Series. As it was for their first World Series appearance in 1903 (when they were the Boston Americans), they will encounter seasoned opposition from the National League (this time in the form of the machine-like St. Louis Cardinals). Fresh off of their ALCS victory over the Tigers in six games, the Red Sox enter the Fall Classic with the echoes of grand slam cheers still ringing in their ears. With this in mind, it’s self-evident that excitement permeates from a World Series. Nonetheless, why not watch these five videos to get you fired up for the impending Game 1?

Tune in tonight for first pitch at 8:07 p.m. on Fox, as Jon Lester faces Adam Wainwright.

And while we’re doing the retro-thing, how about some Dave Roberts-steal action?

Clearly, another highlight has to be Shane Victorino’s grand slam. “Hawaiian Punch,” as he’s known, will be looking to do some damage to the vaunted St. Louis pitching staff:

And, as has become tradition in Boston this year, we close with only one thing: Koji time.
