Wow. Last night was INCREDIBLE.
A dominating crowd of disrupting and game-changing companies and individuals descended on the Moakley Courthouse for the third annual 50 on Fire awards celebration – and the festivities were hotter than ever. If you’re just catching up now, you missed out on one amazing event.
This fall, BostInno has covered the year’s groundbreaking innovators across 9 industries. We opened up nominations for the incendiary awards in August and received over 2,000 nods. In September these nominations were reviewed by BostInno, and 150 white hot finalists were announced. Check them out here.
The companies and individuals that advanced to finalist status participated in a 3-day photo shoot in early November. Their photos were featured in illuminated galleries at the event last night. From there, industry-specific panels of judges (composed of community leaders, past winners, and industry experts) reviewed the finalists and voted for their top picks. Here’s what it means to be “on fire”.
And last night, we brought 1,000 of the most incredible forces leading Boston innovation together to celebrate the winners. Not your traditional, stodgy awards ceremony, 50 on Fire winners are announced through a seriously high octane video LIVE at the event. The music played, the winners were announced, and the crowd cheered. See photos from the event here!
Without further ado, here are the 50 on Fire winners setting fire to their scenes in 2014 (also listed below). Congratulations!
