Some say a juicy bacon burger is not equivalent to a healthy, loving relationship. We say that’s debatable.
If your love life is on par with a Taylor Swift song, your best friend is Netflix and you’ve “liked” enough Instagrammed engagement rings to fill Tiffany’s, you most certainly have full rights to “eat your feelings” this coming Valentine’s Day. So do it.
Thankfully, there’s a joint in town that feels your pain. This Valentine’s Day, Pauli’s in the North End will be serving up the least romantic burger in history. And trust me, an engagement proposal pales in comparison to this burger proposal from the North End restaurant.
According to Pauli’s, this “Soul Mate Burger” was made with Boston singles in mind. The double burger (repeat: double) is topped with crispy bacon, three extra-cheesy fried mozzarella slices, cheddar cheese, lettuce, roasted peppers and creamy ranch chipotle sauce served alongside extra crispy French fries. Phew.
Paul Barker, owner of Pauli’s, explained in a release that, “Since Valentine’s Day is on a Friday this year, we really wanted to do something for those who were left without a special date. It’s not a night to think about calories or impressing someone; we’ve made it a night to enjoy a really good burger and have a little fun while doing it.”
Oh, and did we mention that you can also request a double serving of fries and an extra bun? “Because the burger is large enough for sharing between two people,” according to Pauli’s. Shameless.
So, get your fat pants ready and prepare for a Valentine’s Day feast. Couples also welcome, of course.
