The South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade isn’t til Sunday, but here are a bunch of spots – in no logical order whatsoever – that will be celebrating Boston’s favorite holiday for the entire “Evacuation Day” long weekend (second only, perhaps, to Marathon Monday) in earnest, from live music to authentic drink and food specials. Enjoy, be safe, have fun.

South Boston St. Patrick’s Day Parade – 1 p.m. – Broadway Station – There’s been a bit of a kerfuffle over this year’s parade route – city officials shortened it, much to the scorn of organizers – but it’s still worth checking out if you’re into public displays of general ballyhoo and disorderly conduct. Editor’s Note: An earlier version of this story mis-stated the date of the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. It’s Sunday, March 20.
