This week marks the last in February, which means March is right around the corner, bringing us four-leafed clovers, college basketball and (hopefully) warm weather. Give February a proper send-off this week, with several awesome events including a new series celebrating local spirits, a panel on tech and government in Massachusetts and free burgers on Wednesday.

WebInno37 – 6:30pm – Royal Sonesta Cambridge – WebInno is an informal gathering of people interested in internet and mobile innovation. On Monday evening, 10 local companies will be demoing their products and services, and all in the community are welcome to come check them out.
TradeCraft Series – 5:30pm – 7:30pm – Trade – Jody Adams’ restaurant Trade is paying homage to Boston’s small batch distillers and brewers in a new series called TradeCraft. The first installment will feature cocktails from Bully Boy Distillers paired with Trade’s signature small plates.
Founder Dialogues – 6pm – 8pm – Microsoft NERD Center – In this installment of Founder Dialouges, Steve Papa, founder of Endeca, will share the story of his journey and successes throughout the past several years. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to benefit BUILD Boston.
Frenemies: Government, Tech and New England’s Economy – 7:30am – 9am – Seaport Hotel – The New England Tech Project is hosting a panel discussing how government and tech can collaborate to improve New England’s economy. Our own Walt Frick will be moderating, and Tito Jackson, Boston City Councillor; Ryan Traeger, Founder & CEP, achvr; and Adam Leonard, Program Manager, bRIdge will be on hand to discuss these issues.
Free Burgers, Fries & Drinks from UBurger – 4pm – 7pm – UBurger Faneuil Hall – Enjoy free treats from UBurger’s new Faneuil Hall location on Wednesday afternoon, as well as music and prizes.
You, Me, and the Innovation District – 5:30pm – 8:30pm – Space With a Soul – You, Me & the I.D. is a free networking mixer for startups, emergent companies and ecosystem contributors located in the Innovation District. There will be complimentary refreshments and drinks served, and fun prizes to be raffled off throughout the evening.
Gaming for Good: A Benefit for Newtown, CT – 5pm – Arena Sportsbar & Nightclub, Nashua, NH – OK, I know this event is in New Hampshire, but it’s a really cool event for a very worthwhile cause. The creators of the event want to show what good video games can do, so they are hosting a video game tournament and party to help in the wake of the tragedy that took place in Newtown, CT.
March Communication’s Monthly Networking Event – 6pm – 8pm – West End Johnnie’s – March Communications continues its informal monthly networking series for members of the Boston technology, PR and media community at West End Johnnie’s.
Women in the MA Game Industry: A Discussion of Diversity, Challenges & Progress – 6pm – 9pm – Microsoft NERD Center – This panel will focus on how the game industry can attract more women and how to eliminate discrimination against women within the game industry. Panelists will highlight some of the benefits of working in games, share their own personal challenges and discuss what role men can play in becoming champions for women.
