Here's another study calling Beantown the best.
Movinga, a German startup that provides relocation logistics, released a survey titled, "Cities of Opportunities" which identifies the best cities in the world to find a job. It ranked Boston as the number one city for job opportunities and growth.
“The job market is one of the fastest changing elements in the globalized world, with political climate, currency fluctuations and even popular culture all having a huge impact on a nation’s economic strength. Now, the strong dollar and booming markets mean that for the U.S., employment opportunities are thriving.” says Finn Age Hänsel, Managing Director at Movinga, said in a statement.
The study analyzed business infrastructure in the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development countries and ranked 100 global cities by their job opportunity score. The data-driven analysis was based on 14 socio-economic and political factors:
Social: gender wage gap, women's liberty and legislation, women's opportunity and advancement.
Economic: total employment, standard of living, GDP growth, new business registration, new startups, youth employment, standard of living, disposable income
Political: government effectiveness, health care expenditure, immigration levels, expat employee rate
The top ten cities on the list were Boston, Munich, Calgary, Hamburg, Stuttgart, London, Singapore, Oslo, Frankfurt, Edinburgh. Other superlatives for Boston are that the city has the highest standard of living score and highest disposable income levels
What's better? Boston beats other U.S. cities like New York, Seattle and San Francisco in disposable income, total employment and expat employment rate
