Andy Ory speaks in 2012. The Acme Packet co-founder and former CEO is now behind stealth-mode startup 128 Technology.

Very busy week of funding news as 2014 closes out. Highlights included huge rounds for American Well and Rapid7, a Spark Capital-led funding for Freight Farms and disclosure of a funding round for 128 Technology, a stealth startup launched by the founders of Acme Packet, Andy Ory and Patrick MeLampy.

Also notable is another initial investment by GrandBanks Capital, which backed Techstars Boston grad Mavrck (formerly SplashScore). More background on the recent uptick in GrandBanks funding here.

And lastly, I didn’t include it in the table below, but it’s worth noting that the biggest tech round of the week overall has a local connection: Payments tech firm Adyen, which is based in The Netherlands and has an office in Westborough, Mass., raised $250 million at a reported $1.5 billion valuation.
