Boston University might be bragging that sophomore Olivia Culpo was recently named the 2012 Miss Universe winner, but nearby neighbor Boston College is the one reveling in all of its attractive glory now. Collegiate dating startup Datemyschool has released the 2012 Boston “Hotness Index” and announced Chestnut Hill is home to the hottest school for both men and women.

Datemyschool claims they calculated their rankings “based on the ratio of the number of profiles saved at each school to the number of users showing off pictures at those schools,” according to a release. The six schools they released data on include: Boston College, Harvard, Tufts, Northeastern, Boston University and MIT.

Now, there are some discrepancies in each school’s overall hotness. For example, Harvard took the number two spot for boasting the hottest Ivy League hunks, yet the University’s females came in sixth. Boston University’s ladies were also ranked second, but the men came in fifth. So, it appears if you want a balanced ratio on a Friday night, you need to take the B Line out to Boston College.

“Personally, I’m not surprised,” said one BU female Datemyschool user in the release. “The guys at my school are nowhere near as cute as the BC boys.”

Winner of About.com’s 2012 Readers’ Choice Awards for Best College Dating Site, Datemyschool has attracted more than 100,000 students from more than 1,000 schools nationwide to its platform.
