For the first time in their last eight meetings, the Celtics lost to the Washington Wizards, dropping a 106-99 contest on Saturday afternoon. In front of a hopeful home crowd, Boston jumped out to an early lead, winning the first quarter decisively, 30-14. As has become a recent theme to their games, however, they were unable to continue their momentum into the remaining three periods of play, and the Wizards rallied.
