Finally, a breakfast sandwich to satisfy your sweet tooth!
Dunkin' Donuts is reportedly testing a new donut breakfast sandwich. Yes, you read that correctly. Behold.
"The sandwich features bacon and a pepper fried egg on a glazed yeast ring donut," said a Dunkin' Donuts rep in an email to BostInno. "We constantly strive to offer a wide variety of products to satisfy the needs of our guests."
The rep told us that "A few select Dunkin' Donuts restaurants in eastern Massachusetts are currently carrying a Glazed Donut Breakfast Sandwich," although she wouldn't specify which locations.
Boston magazine reported on the sandwich, apologizing to their arteries for the seemingly clogging combination. But just how bad is this sandwich for you?
Dunkin' Donuts tells BostInno it's only 360 calories. Compare that to Dunkin's 470-calorie bacon, egg and cheese bagel sandwich or their 530-calorie Big N' Toasted breakfast sandwich, and the doughnut creation doesn't sound so bad after all.
If the doughnut sandwich doesn't make it to market, fear not, sugar lovers! Earlier this week, Dunkin' Donuts announced plans to launch ice cream-flavored iced coffees. Based off of Baskin-Robbins flavors, expect Mint Chocolate Chip Iced Coffee and Dunkin’ Donuts’ Old Fashioned Butter Pecan Iced Coffee coming to a store near you this summer.
Just remember to book a trip to the dentist. All that sugar is sure to catch up with you.
