As for career opportunities in tech in Boston, January is definitely the month of engineers — as many other times are. In the Hub, companies looking for employees with a strong technical background are Catalant Technologies, Formlabs and HubSpot.

Catalant Technologies
If you're a senior software engineer looking for a new opportunity, you may want to check out the website of Catalant Technologies. The Boston-based business expertise company is hiring a senior data science engineer with Masters or Ph.D. in computer science or equivalent, a senior software engineer with 5+ years of professional programming experience and a software engineering manager a with technical background in engineering or software development.
Datadog
Datadog is disrupting cloud-scale monitoring and growing their sales team. Check out their available sales roles and go ahead and apply if you see something that catches your eye.
Dispatch
Based in the North End, the software company is looking for a software engineer with 2+ years experience building high-scale modern web applications as a full stack engineer, a product marketing manager with 3-6 years of marketing experience in the SaaS industry and two more managers for data & analytics and business analysis. All job postings mention the expected salary range — from $80K to $110K for the engineer role, for example.
Formlabs
Currently, the 3D printing startup is hiring like crazy across all departments. For the company's headquarters in Somerville, openings require knowledge of different fields of engineering, from hardware (mechanical, electrical, heat transfer) to software (algorithms, UI, full-stack developing). This Boston-based agency connecting talented professionals with companies that help power their careers has over 300 jobs listed on their website for roles within technology, accounting & finance and administrative & HR fields. From Fortune 500 to start-ups in different industries.
HubSpot
More engineers are in need at the inbound marketing company based in Cambridge, which is looking for a design manager, a front-end web developer and a senior product manager, among other roles.
iboss
A (quite long) list of engineering openings is available at iboss, the cybersecurity firm that in May of last year announced it has opened its new corporate headquarters at 101 Federal Street in Boston. The company is looking for a senior Java developer (5+ years of experience), a mobile application developer with knowledge of Java, C, SQL, JSON, XML, JavaScript and HTML and a software engineer specializing in C and C+++, among other roles. The finance department and the marketing department are also hiring.
Lovepop
Currently, the greeting card startup lists several roles on its website touching all the basis of the organization, from sales to design. Aside from the internship opportunities, the company is looking for full-time executives such as a design manager with a degree in digital design or fine arts and a head of marketing with 10+ years of experience (MBA a plus). Furthermore, Lovepop wants to hire a customer happiness manager.
Sqrrl
The Cambridge-based company that's reportedly in "advanced" talks to be acquired by Amazon has a variety of openings on its website, including job postings for a customer success engineer (8+ years experience), a solutions architect with a strong background in cybersecurity and a marketing manager with a strong familiarity with Hubspot.
TripAdvisor
Want to work for the online reviews company based in Needham? The company is looking for brand managers, associate creative directors, a data warehouse analyst and a director of human resources, among the many other positions listed here.
Other positions:
• Bullhorn has an opening for a senior FP&A analyst with up to 5 years of experience in an entrepreneurial finance-related role. Currently, the company also has 16 open positions (in IT, HR, marketing, sales and support) in its Boston headquarters.
• Cambridge-based Tive, which raised a $3 million seed round last year, is looking for an account executive and a data scientist & algorithms engineer.
• Shearwater, an early-stage edtech startup with offices in Downtown Crossing, has several openings in operations, sales and software engineering. The company is also looking for a CTO.
• ClimaCell, a weather technology software developer that provides operational tools for critical decisions, is hiring senior full stack Node.js developers, Algo Team software engineers, DevOps engineers and QA Engineers. All listings are available here.
