Hunger Games fans, get your bows at the ready. According to new reports, the series could be filming its third installment in the Hub this fall.

Boston magazine uncovered the following tweet from Production Weekly:

According to On Location Vacations, “The Atlanta news is not much of a shock considering the last film was shot in Georgia, but we are surprised to see Boston in the mix as there has been no indication the movie would film in the northeast.”

In other words, all Hunger Games fans have to hold on to at this moment is this tweet that indicates September 16th as the start date. Mark your calendars.

Could this news indicate that Jennifer Lawrence a.k.a Katniss Everdeen has fallen in love with Boston? The Oscar-winning actress is currently spending her spring in the Hub, shooting the David O. Russell film about Abscam, a 1970s FBI sting operation. Although we can’t imagine any Hunger Games scenes in the North End (where she’s been spotted dining), we can get down with Katniss darting in and out of trees in the Boston Common, bow and arrow at the ready, fleeing the oppressive dictatorship of the Capitol.

Mockingjay is the third book in the Hunger Games trilogy and will be released on film in two parts, on November 21, 2014 and November 20, 2015. Catching Fire, the second film, will be released on November 22, 2013. Check out a teaser trailer for Catching Fire below.
