Without a doubt it seems that folks are a lot more concerned about where their food and drink is coming from these days. Many of us would prefer to “stay local” when it comes to our produce, clothes and even brews. Fortunately for beer fans in Massachusetts, we can.

That’s because our state is home to numerous top-notch craft breweries. And next weekend, we get to celebrate them – and all things local – at the 3rd Annual Hyper-Local Craft Brewfest, presented by the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts.

The best part is that the event not only features local breweries but also local beverage makers, home brewers, and food vendors such as Vermont Smoke and Cure and Taza Chocolate.

For those who don’t know, the words “hyper-local” refer to New England (local) “producers making products with ingredients from New England,” per the event description. If a local beer is made with local hops or ingredients then it is considered “hyper-local.”

And that’s exactly what you’ll find next weekend. The brewfest starts on Friday, June 13 and lasts through Saturday, June 14 with three separate sessions.

On Friday, attendees will be able to experience a special Homebrew Showcase “highlighting home-brews and homebrewing with local ingredients.” If you’re an aspiring brewer, we recommend signing up for this session from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The second session will be held Saturday, June 14 from 3 to 6 p.m. and the third session from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday evening. Consider it a great opportunity to meet with both local producers and other Boston beer enthusiasts. Check here to get your tickets and to find out more about next weekend’s Hyper-Local Craft Brewfest. Cheers!
