Accelerate AI Conference: This conference, which runs from May 1st to May 4th, aims to bring the top professionals in both the data science and artificial intelligence fields together. The event includes keynote speakers including Amy O’Connor, the Chief Data and Information Officer at Cloudera, and Alex Pentland, a professor from the MIT Media Lab. Small Business Grant Information: LearnLaunch presents this event covering the different government funding and loan options for edtech small businesses. Thursday May 3
Get To It: The Capital Network and the City of Cambridge Community Development team up to bring a free afternoon of speakers and workshops covering topics such as how to pitch to investors, funding options and what resources you will need to grow. The event kicks off at 3:30 p.m. and runs through 8 p.m. The event takes place at IDEO, which is located at 80 Prospect St. in Cambridge.
BostInno de Mayo: This networking event will be a great way to unwind and relax with the tech community and us from BostInno! The event is at 6 p.m. at the Lansdowne Pub, which is located at 9 Lansdowne St. Appetizers and a drink ticket are included with each ticket purchase.
Practice Makes Imperfect: This free event will focus on failure, what you can learn from it and how you can use it to your advantage without fear. This event takes place at the Intrepid Cafe, which is located at 222 Third St. #4000 in Cambridge. The event begins at 6 p.m. and food is provided.
Attract & Develop Cross-Generational Talent: Workable is hosting a fireside chat about the tools and strategies needed to attract cross-generational talent. Gabriela McManus, head of people at Drizly, will be leading the fireside chat. Girls In Tech Python Workshop: Girls In Tech Boston will be presenting a free two-day workshop on coding language Python. There will be hands-on projects and group work to help cover the basics. This event takes place from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 5th and Sunday, May 6th at District Hall, which is located at 75 Northern Ave.
She Geeks Out Job Prep Day: She Geeks Out presents an afternoon of resume reviews, interviewing tips and professional headshots. Professional makeup and hair services are available prior to headshots for an additional $5 charge. BNT #89: Boston New Technology hosts a night of demos by seven startups in the field of the internet of things and ecommerce. Food will be served, and there will be headshots and networking opportunities. Tickets are $15, but will increase closer to the event. Solving the Innovation Challenge: Join Boston RegTech for their first meetup starting at 6 p.m. There will be a panel to discuss how stakeholders can better collaborate to drive better solutions to RegTech problems. This free event is located at the 200 Portland St. WeWork.

NEVY Awards: Bristol-Myers Squibb presents the annual NEVY Awards at the House of Blues in Boston. This event will celebrate entrepreneurs, innovators and the Boston startup community. Greentown Labs Grand Opening: The largest cleantech incubator is hosting the grand opening of their new headquarters which are located at 444 Somerville Ave. in Somerville. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone will be speaking. There will also be a showcase of different technologies from cleantech companies. This event is $50 and starts at 1 p.m.
PERKS Conference: This conference is focused on potential workplace perks and the benefits employers could offer to their employees. This event features breakout roundtables about implementing these perks into various types of businesses and various class such as yoga to try out. MIT Technology Review’s 10 Breakthrough Technologies 2018: The MIT Technology Review Magazine presents their 10 picks of breakthrough technologies in 2018. ReDev Boston: MassTLC hosts this one-day conference meant to bring together developers and technical executives.
