The last time we checked in on Nanigans, my colleague Sam Dwyer reported that the Boston-based Facebook ad company served up 175 billion Facebook ad impressions and achieved 1,600 percent growth in 2011.

Well, now we have gotten our hands on some new numbers for the company. And it looks quite possible that Nanigans is the largest player on Facebook’s ad API, earning multiple shoutouts from Techcrunch as a potential acquisition target for Google or someone else.

Alright, so here’s what we’ve learned:

  • Nanigans manages 9-figures of Facebook Ad spend annually
  • It averages 2 billion Facebook Ad impressions per day
  • It’s up to 60 people in headcount

That pace adds up to 730 billion impressions annually, obviously way above what they were doing in 2011.

So what are they doing right? From their Channel posts on BostInno, it’s clear they’re having some success in Facebook mobile advertising, and are taking advantage of Facebook’s Premium Ads.

You can refer to the Techcrunch posts above to see the other ad API companies that Nanigans competes with. But based on the growth above, it seems likely that the single biggest Facebook ad company is right here in Boston.
