According to 69 year old billionaire oil man and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, three things are hot on the streets these days: pizza, football, and corny commercial rap videos by 69 year old billionaires. The latest Papa Johns commercial features Jones himself, rapping away about some pizza/drink combo deal. Unfortunately, Jerry Jones’ rap video will give listeners nothing but the blues. Take a look at Jones in the commercial below.
Jerry Jones Rapping for Papa Johns VIDEO
Jones has starred in more than his fair share of tabloid headlines this summer. At a Cowboys news conference at the end of July, Jones repeatedly expressed his desire to return the “glory hole days” of yesteryear. “I’ve been here 23 years,” he said. “I’ve been here when it was glory hole days and I’ve been here when it wasn’t. And, so, having said that, I want me some glory hole. So I have that perspective.”
While Cowboys’ Vice President of Public Relations/Communications Rich Dalrymple attempted to say that “glory hole” is a term used in the oil and gas drilling business, even Jones, a long-time oil tycoon, didn’t buy the cover-up. “That’s news to me,” he said, smirking.
Less than two weeks ago, Jones was dragged into another bizarre incident. Jennelle Carrillo, who attended an inter-team “Blue and Silver” scrimmage in August 2010, decided to sue Jones and the team over third-degree burns she claims to have received on her legs while sitting on a bench at the facility. She had to have skin grafts on her behind. Carrillo claims that she has suffered mental anguish, physical pain, and disfigurement as a result of the burns.
The video isn’t the first time Jones has promoted Papa Johns on TV. Two years ago he broke onto the pizza peddling scene dressed as the Cowboys coach shortly after he had given Wade Philips a pink slip.
