There’s nothing we like more here at BostInno than seeing two awesome local companies teaming up to their mutual benefit. Travel search engine Kayak and travel review site TripAdvisor are partnering to include TripAdvisor’s hotel reviews in Kayak’s searches, according to TechCrunch.

So the next time you search Kayak for hotels, you’ll have the benefit of 60 million reviews to help you make your decision. That should help the site secure itself as a one-stop shop for travel research, and will expand the audience that sees TripAdvisor’s reviews. Kayak already allows users to filter search results using reviews from Frommer’s and Budget Travel.

But TripAdvisor’s reviews are closer to Yelp than Frommer’s, and may be more appealing to younger, social media savvy users.

“At TripAdvisor, we strive to provide access to our reviews and opinions everywhere it’s relevant for travelers,” said Karen Drake, senior director of communications at TripAdvisor. “We realize that there are a lot of hotel options out there, and TripAdvisor’s massive depth and scale of reviews and opinions from travelers all over the world enables travelers to make their trip planning choices with confidence.”

TripAdvisor reviews will go live on Kayak’s U.S. and UK sites today. No financial details about the partnership were disclosed. In September, Kayak put its planned IPO on hold citing market conditions. TripAdvisor completed its split from Expedia.com in late 2011.
