And here’s more on this matchup:
Syracuse and Ohio State present an interesting series of mismatches for each other – Syracuse is a team that likes to get to the basket and draw fouls, and Ohio State is a team with zero depth, while the Buckeyes have arguably the best frontcourt play of any team left in the tournament and the Orange, playing without center Fab Melo who is academically ineligible for the tournament, are spread very thin in the frontcourt.
The winner will advance to take on the champion of the Midwest Regional on Saturday at the Final Four in New Orleans. The other Final Four matchup will feature the winner of South and West Regionals.

So far the conferences are tied at one victory apiece.
But the ways the winners got to Saturday night’s game with a berth in the Final Four at stake were very different Thursday night.
Top-seeded Syracuse edged Wisconsin 64-63 when the Badgers had the ball for the final 18 seconds but couldn’t score. Then second-seeded Ohio State dominated Cincinnati 81-66 in the other semifinal as Jared Sullinger and DeShaun Thomas combined for 49 points and 19 rebounds.
It shouldn’t be that easy for the Buckeyes against Syracuse’s zone defense, which stymied Wisconsin inside.
