And here’s more on the matchup between Oklahoma State and Missouri in the Big 12 Tournament:
The Tigers have been one of the best teams in the Big 12 all season, but they’ve been getting headlines for the wrong reasons. Missouri – whose defection from the Big 12 to the South East Conference has been getting all the press, especially as it pertains to their rivalry with Kansas and the Border War.
But through it all, the Tigers have been playing some pretty impressive basketball, and that’s going to be an issue for Oklahoma State tonight.
The Sooners will need to win the Big 12 to have a shot at a berth in the NCAA tournament, while Mizzou needs to run the table if they want to get a one seed in the Big Dance. The winner of this afternoon’s game will face the Iowa State – Texas winner on Friday in the Big 12 Semifinals.
Here’s more on the game:
The Missouri Tigers (27-4, 14-4 Big 12) hope to continue their record setting season as they begin Big 12 Tournament play Thursday evening in Kansas City, having already set a school record for wins. They’ll face Oklahoma State, who beat Texas Tech on Wednesday to advance to the second round.
One of the Tigers’ four losses on the season came at Stillwater against OSU. One stat to possibly watch is the Tigers’ shooting percentage, as they’ve been historically miserable playing at the Sprint Center, according to the Mizzou athletics web site.
