The heavy rains that hit the Bay State early Wednesday morning caused some serious problems for one Red Line station.

According to MBTA officials, the Wollaston Station stop in Quincy was temporarily closed due to “weather related problems.”

Alternate shuttle services were operating between North Quincy and Wollaston Stations on the Newport Ave. side of the station, according to officials.

The station reopened quickly, however.

One rider captured a video of the flooding, which shows a worker standing in ankle-deep water as it comes cascading down the stairwell and into the station.
