After the gorgeous weekend we just had it can be challenging to get back into the fitness routine. We know it’s necessary but the thought of being confined to a packed spin class on a summer evening can be frustrating. Enter: the Waterfront yoga series.

Beginning tonight at 5:45 p.m. and occurring weekly through September 1, Exhale Battery Wharf is implementing its outoor yoga classes. Enjoy perfecting your boat pose while actually watching the boats gracefully cruise around the Waterfront. What better way to start your week then finding peace in your practice along Boston’s Harborwalk.

For all of you seasoned yogis, this is an hour-long power yoga class taught by Exhales own Larisa Forman. As a full-time yoga instructor Forman is no stranger to outdoor fitness as she also teaches a class on Marblehead’s Deveraux beach on Sundays. And if you’re interested in delving more into the practice this summer, you can also join Forman and other yogis at the Nantucket Yoga Festival July 11-13.

As you can imagine space is limited for tonights outdoor class. The class is complementary for Exhale members or you can apply your class series. Not a member? No problem. Pay $25 and you’ll be downward dogging in no time. Be sure to sign up for mat space online. And speaking of mats, Exhale is providing the yoga accessory for all class participants.

So whether you’re heading into a stressful week at work or you simply want to remain relaxed post-weekend, join Exhale as they take deep breathes along the boardwalk. After all, with Boston’s limited window of nice weather it’s time we were outside every chance we have.
