We owe it to local music vets Pretty & Nice to simply celebrate the anticipation of their upcoming EP, Us You All We. They’ve earned it. They’ve been releasing consistently good, fun and frenetically antsy pop music for the past six years and, for their latest effort, they’ve ditched their label and will host their record release party at Store 54 in Allston, a nice little art space on Harvard Avenue on November 1 at 8 p.m. The all ages show will cost $7 in advance or $10 at the door. Tickets!

But, like I said, the anticipation itself is worth celebrating. And you can accomplish that in ways other than thoroughly enjoying the shit out of this video on a very loud volume:

(Though that’s not to say you shouldn’t enjoy this video – you should.)

Over at Pledge Music, a nifty little site that lets fans help their favorite bands fund creative projects (while also giving to charity: 10% of their profits will go to Charity: Water), they’ve got a page of their own. A pledge of 20 bucks will get you the EP on vinyl as well as two tickets to the show in Boston.

Last week, MTV previewed “Capsules” from the upcoming EP and you can get a taste of it here. The stop and go guitars lay nicely atop a fairly relentless wallop of snare before finding one another for some sunshiny ooooo-ing. It’s infectious!

What you’re still waiting for, I do not know.
