Fall is great for a lot of reasons — sweaters, pumpkin spiced lattes and lovely New England foliage. But the top reason why it’s awesome? Oktoberfest, of course! Thanks to those crazy Germans for making it socially acceptable to dedicating an entire season to indulging in delicious beer flavors.
And because everything is obviously better in milkshake form, Red Robin decided to remix Samuel Adams’ traditional Octoberfest seasonal beer into creamy frozen treats.
This week, the national burger chain released its seasonal Samuel Adams Octoberfest Milkshake, a frothy combination of soft serve ice cream, Sam Adams Octoberfest draft, vanilla and caramel.
“Nothing says Oktoberfest better than a beer, so I incorporated the fun spirit of Red Robin into this innovative milkshake,” says Donna Ruch, master mixologist with Red Robin, in a press release. “Now, our guests don’t have to choose between a beer or a shake to go with their burger. They can have the very best of both in our new Octoberfest Milkshake.”
Of course, Oktoberfest wouldn’t be complete without some grub, so in true German fashion, Red Robin is also offering warm pretzel bites served with a beer cheese dip, and an Oktoberfest Bürger topped with goodness such as Swiss cheese and Black Forest ham.
Hungry? There is a Red Robin at Patriot Place in Foxboro, as well as other locations in Nashua, NH, and Plymouth, MA. Or, you know, you can just pop into your local liquor store, grab a case of Sam Adams’ Octoberfest, and mix this one up yourself.
