Big news, Pret A Manger—and food—fans. The third Boston location of the London-based casual, quick-serve restaurant will celebrate its grand opening at 855 Boylston Street on Monday, September 30, just in time to pick you up from the back-to-work woes.

Can’t wait all weekend? You’re in luck. Pret will be hosting its traditional new-location “Guinea Pig Day” at the restaurant on Friday, September 27. In order to welcome Pret to the neighborhood (or at least, to that neck of the neighborhood, since there’s one at 507 Boylston Street), they’re inviting us Bostonians to stop in on Friday morning for breakfast or coffee, and if you do, you’ll receive a voucher to come back the same day from 12 to 2 p.m. for a free lunch. (While supplies last of course, so emphasis on the 12 p.m.)

There’s no better way to kick off a new spot’s opening than to offer up free perks, and a Friday afternoon lunch on Pret sounds like a way to warm up to morning commuters.

For breakfast, Pret A Manger offers muffins, pastries, bagels and breakfast baguette sandwiches, in addition to a full coffee bar. If you head back for lunch, they specialize in hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, and salads—but it hardly even matters. If it’s free, it’s for me!
