What’s better than a burger and fries for lunch?
Not having to wait in line for the privilege.
Shake Shack announced today the launch of its first-ever mobile-ordering system, Shack App for iOS. Now live in Massachusetts, it syncs with all five locations here to allow customers to order ahead and skip the line.
“The Shack App marks a new era for Shake Shack. In creating our first-ever app, we took great care to develop a mobile ordering platform that maintains the high quality our guests have come to know and love, now just a tap away,” said Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti. “We’re meeting people where they are, and giving our guests a whole new way to experience Shake Shack.”
Users of the app can order from the full range of Shake Shack’s menu, from burgers to dogs, fried chicken sandwiches to frozen custards. Pickup times are available in 15-minute increments and items will be cooked to order.
Shake Shack partnered with several companies to make the app happen, including mobile product agency Fuzz, mobile ordering platform Olo, guest engagement platform Paytronix and digital experience testing services from Applause.
Shake Shack has five Massachusetts locations: Chestnut Hill (49 Boylston Street, Chestnut Hill); Dedham (226 Legacy Place, Dedham); Harvard Square (92 Winthrop Street, Cambridge), Newbury Street (234 Newbury Street, Boston); and Boston Seaport (77 Seaport Blvd, Boston) – its 100th global store.
An Android version of the app is reportedly in the works.
