Need to do some gift shopping this weekend? The 9th Annual SoWa Holiday Market takes place this Saturday and Sunday in the South End, featuring a wide array of local crafters, artists and food-makers showcasing their goods for you to buy, gift and enjoy.
The SoWa Holiday Market is located in the main building of the Benjamin Franklin Institute of Technology at 41 Berkeley Street in the South End. The show runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 8th, 2012 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, December 9th, 2012. Admission is $5 at the door.
This weekend, more than 75 vendors from New England plan on setting up shop at the Holiday Market, helping you check off your holiday shopping list, one gift at a time. From jewelry to t-shirts, pottery to dog toys, brownies to ornaments, there is truly a gift for everyone at SoWa. And they’re much more unique than something you can buy in a shopping mall.
If you’re really keen on getting your shopping done early, SoWa is running a special VIP shopping hour from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday morning, before the Holiday Market is open to the public. The VIP tickets are $15, and can be purchased here.
The SoWa Holiday Market is an extension of the SoWa Open Market, which runs from April to October each season. The Open Market features a variety of vendors, artists and food trucks at 500 Harrison in the South End, attracting crowds all summer long. Similarly, the SoWa Vintage Market runs all year long, selling retro clothes, furniture and fun throwback decorations. A perfect place to find an old school ugly Christmas sweater, I might add.
Below we’ve included a roundup of some of our favorite vendors that will be showcasing at the Holiday Market this season, as well as a map of the layout and SoWa BINGO to follow along with as you shop.
