Even if it still feels like winter, the days have gotten brighter – a sure sign that spring is, in fact, here. So even though our morning commutes are sunny, it’s hard to feel completely cheery while we hustle in to work. But today, there’s more reason to be in good spirits, especially if you find yourself near Copley Square.
KIND Bars and the Red Sox have announced a partnership, adding the granola snacks to Fenway’s menu and having KIND serve as the park’s official healthy snack. There will be three flavors of bars available around the park – Almond and Coconut, Dark Chocolate Nuts and Sea Salt and Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate plus Protein – giving sports fans a chance to eat KIND at the game.
Of the partnership, Red Sox Corporate Sponsorships SVP Troup Parkinson said:
“We look forward to working with KIND and welcome them to the Red Sox as our official healthy snack partner. Their focus on healthy eating and being active participants in the community through kindness makes this a logical partnership for both our organizations.”
To celebrate the partnership, the KIND team and Wally the Green Monster have teamed up to help spread kindness around the city. Today, they’ll be in Copley Square, giving out special care packages to commuters with KIND bars and flowers.
But, the kindness doesn’t end there. All this week, Bostonians are invited to send along a care package to a special someone whose week they want to perk up via flowers and KIND bars. KIND Deliveries will take place the week of March 31 to April 3, so if you know someone who could use an act of kindness, all you have to do is fill out the form on the website and enter a valid zip code for delivery, which will be done by bike messenger all next week (even if the weather doesn’t warm up).
So if you receive a package from KIND and Wally today, pay it forward online with their delivery service, and look for the bars at Fenway Park beginning Opening Day.
