Daily deals have been incredibly successful for consumers but what about for businesses?

Newton-based TechTarget, Inc., a technology media company and Concord-based RapidBuyr, a daily deal site focused exclusively on small and medium sized businesses, teamed up to bring business related deals to over 10 million TechTarget members. The tech media company will leverage its technology-centric media network and feature RapidBuyr deals on well-known brands such as HP, Lenovo, and Samsung at discounts upwards of 80% off retail value.

TechTarget President Don Hawk had this to say about the alliance: “TechTarget gives technology business decision makers the information they need to make better purchase decisions. This alliance with RapidBuyr is a great extension of our media as it will allow us to provide our audience direct access to daily deals.”

Business expenses such as hardware, web development, marketing initiatives, and others can be incredibly costly for a small business and could cut into future growth.  With this partnership, TechTarget members can look to take advantage of product deals and pivot some of the savings towards personnel or other important matters.

Technology buyers look to TechTarget for independent, accurate, timely and insightful information for every kind of technology purchase. As such, TechTarget is an ideal partner for the deeply discounted goods and services we offer every day,” said Tom Aley, President and CEO of RapidBuyr

This announcement comes on the heels of another acquisition in the space as Affinion Group acquired Prospectiv, owner of business-to-consumer daily deal site Eversave just last week. The partnership between TechTarget and RapidBuyr is one to watch carefully as the Boston area has a strong business-to-business (B2B) ecosystem and the two companies’ combined reach could help put the B2B daily deal space more on the map.
