It hasn’t been 24 hours since word broke that the Patriots had signed ex-New York Jets QB Tim Tebow, and already he’s become a polarizing presence in New England. Twitter hemorrhaged reactions immediately, skewing toward disbelief and disdain. The first question was, why? The second: Where will he fit in?

Pats coach Bill Belichick held a press conference today, fielding nonstop questions about the gathering storm of Tebow Time brewing over Foxborough. He offered little insight, as is his custom.

“Anything we do is in the best interest of the team,” Belichick said. “Tim’s a talented player that works hard, so we’ll see how it goes.”

Speculation has been thicker than Gronk’s quads since the news came out, with analysts and fans alike pondering everything from what position he’ll play to how his preference for prayer will be received by Belichick and others. (To which I counter, huh?).

Anyway, for those of you still unable to come to grips with what’s happening here, check out the video below. That’s Tim Tebow taking snaps for the Patriots, decked out in colors we’re going to have to get used to seeing him in. At least for now.

Take some deep breaths. Everything will be fine.
