With just four months before the epic Twilight saga film series is laid to rest, fans are thirsting for every drop of vampire/werewolf footage they can get. At the Comic-Con San Diego Twilight panel yesterday evening, fans in attendance received their first big taste. After the Q & A’s ended, Director Bill Condon introduced a clip of the first 7 minutes of Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 films. Unfortunately, the Twilight Breaking Dawn clip is yet to hit the web (it was a special treat for those in the Comic-Con audience and it seems they’re keeping it under wraps), so here’s a synopsis of what went down in the footage.
Twilight: Breaking Dawn – Part 2 Footage Synopsis
The footage drew shrieks and gasps from the crowd. It showed vampire Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) embracing her enhanced senses and increased strength as her lover Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) teaching her how to hunt.
Just as the scene plays out in the book, Bella is distracted by a human hiker, but manages to contain her blod thirst thirst. “I’m amazed. You ran away from human blood mid-hunt,” Edward remarks.
As the Twittersphere made clear yesterday, Bella mauls a mountain lion in gruesome yet PG-13 fashion.
As the clip reached it’s end, Bella sees Jacob (Taylor Lautner) — her long-time friends and one-time lover. It is before she has realized that he “imprinted” on her and Edward’s daughter Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy). “Jake, you really do stink,” Bella says to Jacob.
About her more aggressive, powerful character, Kristen Stewart said during the panel yesterday, “It felt so good to break her in, to see how fast the car goes.”
Take a look at some highlights of yesterday’s panel discussion with Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner.
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 hits theaters Nov. 16.
