The BostInno Fall Lookbook showcases seasonal style from the city’s best fashion bloggers, who have drawn outfit inspiration from either a quintessential fall activity in New England for your weekend agenda, or from an iconic Boston neighborhood for those weekdays back in town and at work. Check in every Tuesday and Saturday for a new look, and re-seize the season in a kickass wardrobe.

The Seaport District is home to some of Boston’s most up-and-coming companies, restaurants, and nightlife spots. With so much promise packed into the harborside neighborhood, everyone in the city has their eyes on the Seaport—just consider the newest comedy club, Laugh Boston, a forthcoming gym owned by a Foreman, and the innovation linked to the area.

With all of that attention, the Seaport is a natural style-spotting hub. With nearby Louis making waterfront waves in the local fashion industry, and the number of high-profile people strutting the streets on a daily (and nightly) basis, the booming ‘hood calls for an equally hip get-up.

So Jess Rosenthal and Erin Fucigna, two of the ladies of the local style blog and fashion project Five Days x Five Ways, incorporated one of the hottest trends—leather—into their looks on a sunny day spent in the Seaport. See what they came up with below.

In their own words:

We at Five Days Five Ways love the emergence of the Seaport area. It’s gone from a gritty warehouse hood to the hotbed of restaurants, museums and bars. We are inspired by this combination of raw meets chic, and felt like leather was the perfect trend to marry with this neighborhood.

Leather doesn’t have to just be rock n’ roll: we loved how it added some edge to our girly looks. Just the little details of Jess’s leather collar or Erin’s leather sleeves paired with short skirts, bare legs, and casual kicks reflect the naughty-meets-nice ethos of the Seaport. A big shout out to Wish in Beacon Hill for the awesome outfits that we think are the perfect looks to wear when spending the day getting lost exploring all that the Seaport has to offer.

About Five Days x Five Ways:

Five Days x Five Ways is a blog that demonstrates how to make the most out of your closet. By wearing one item in five different ways over the course of five days, the founding ladies—Jess, Erin, and Cass Taylor (center)—prove that to have a rockin’ wardrobe, you don’t need a limitless budget. Seek out their weekly styles when you’re in a fashion rut and in need of a refreshing way to view your same old digs. To learn more, check out BostInno’s coverage of the project here and here.
