A fast-moving batch of 64 Chicago-area startups entered Chicago Inno’s Tech Madness competition Wednesday night.
The group encompasses a broad range of Chicago’s venture capital-backed startups, as well as a few bootstrapped companies. The contest asks the Chicago innovation community to vote for the startups they would invest in.
And, on Wednesday evening, we celebrated those killer startups in style at the Chicago Sports Museum with games, bites and drinks. We’ll be adding a slideshow of party pics soon… so check back. And stay tuned for updates as the competition gets narrowed to the Sweet Sixteen, Elite Eight, Final Four and The Champ. Here’s the voting schedule:
Round 1: March 7-March 12
Round 2: March 13-March 18
Sweet 16: March 19-March 22
Elite 8: March 23-March 27
Final 4:March 28-April 2
Championship: April 3-April 5
Now, it’s time to get to the voting. This contest asks you who you’d most like to invest in — and there are 64 startups to start. Once each round of voting closes, we’ll advance the winners and let you know about the news here on ChicagoInno.com and in The Beat newsletter. (And this isn’t a ‘versus’ thing. Just identify who you’re bullish on and pick away! A vote for one company is not a vote against another. But Tech Madness is a friendly competition and one must move on!)
