Bright, vibrant artwork is a great way to add character to an office. At Chicago-based Threadless, its in-office murals even extend to the bathrooms.

Threadless is a Chicago-based e-commerce company that sells T-shirts and other merchandise showcasing artist-submitted designs. Founded in 2000, the online retailer gained momentum by its crowdsourcing model and engagement with the art community.

Threadless moved to its current location at 406 N. Sangamon St. two years ago. The 11,000 square-foot space allows for plenty of art creations and exhibitions.

The space features multiple giant murals and plenty of its colorful products throughout, including a wall to hang the top ten best-selling tees of all time. There are even white walls near the office entrance for visitors to paint on.

The wide space now houses 40 employees working in branding, customer experience, digital, product and Bucketfeet. The company acquired Bucketfeet this September, a similar online retailer with a focus on footwear. It currently sells hundreds of products under apparel, home and accessories categories.
