For all of you D.C. startup founders, small business owners, and all-around titans of industry, one of the Washington region’s best networking events is just around the corner: the Big Idea CONNECTpreneur Fall Forum.

For those unfamiliar with CONNECTpreneur events, they are essentially the be-all end-all of networking events in the city that caters specifically to growing startups, tech companies, and small businesses. These events typically attract a slew of successful entrepreneurs and thought leaders from varying industries, as well as a number of the region’s biggest investors and VCs. The idea behind CONNECTpreneur is to put as many successful movers and shakers from the D.C. area in a room and see what sort of synergy and collaborations come out (think networking on steroids).

This year’s CONNECTpreneur will feature a discussion and book signing with none other than Seth Goldman, CEO (or TeaEO as he calls himself) and co-founder of Honest Tea. Honest Tea is probably one of the most iconic local success stories of the Washington region due to its uncompromising mission to quality, and its goal to help change the beverage industry from within by encouraging more healthy and sustainable practices (the company was bought and is currently owned by the Coca Cola Company). Attendees of the fall forum of CONNECTpreneur will receive a free copy of his book, Mission in a Bottle, and will get a chance to speak with Goldman and get a signature.

In addition to his talk, there will also be an all-star investor panel that will include some D.C. Tech heavy hitters like John Backus, founder and managing partner of New Atlantic Ventures, Evan Burfield, Co-founder of 1776, Joe Burkhart, managing director of the Saratoga Investment Corp., and Doug Gilbert, general partner at DFW Capital Partners.

This event is pretty much a must-attend for any growing entrepreneur in the area, if only for the raw networking potential that CONNECTpreneur has. You can sign up for tickets here, and learn more about the event on the organization’s Facebook page.
