Startups from across the world made it to 1776’s Challenge Cup Global Finals in Washington, D.C. Among them are Sinead Mac Manus, Co-founder and CEO of Fluency, and Tess Michaels, Founder and CEO of Soceana. 

I sat down with both to get their thoughts on how women, Millennials and their mentalities are changing the workforce in more ways than one. It’s been a great week for the D.C. tech scene, and meeting them was definitely a highlight of the Challenge Festival for me. 

Though neither Tess nor Sinead moved on to the Elite Eight round, you can still expect to see great things from them in the future.
