The Secret Service is looking into right wing online radio host Pete Santilli after he went on a graphic and violent rant on his show last week about ex-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. The remarks accused Clinton of being ‘involved in the killings of American troops” and threatened to shoot her for these crimes.
“Hillary Clinton needs to be convicted,” Santilli ranted. “She needs to be tried, convicted and shot in the vagina. I want to pull the trigger.” Christ almighty, he sounds just like Mark David Chapman.
“We are aware of Mr. Santilli’s comments and will take the appropriate follow-up action,” Secret Service spokesman Edwin M. Donovan told TPM. “He certainly has a right to free speech, but the Secret Service has a right and an obligation to determine what a person’s intent is when making comments like this.” I believe his intent is to draw media attention to his otherwise sad existence— I apologize for falling for it.
Santilli’s rant continues to criticize Clinton over the handling of ‘the fake hunt down of this Obama bin Laden thing”:
“I want to shoot her right in the vagina and I don’t want her to die right away; I want her to feel the pain and I want to look her in the eyes and I want to say, on behalf of all Americans that you’ve killed, on behalf of the Navy SEALS, the families of Navy SEAL Team Six who were involved in the fake hunt down of this Obama, Obama bin Laden thing, that whole fake scenario, because these Navy SEALS know the truth, they killed them all. On behalf of all of those people, I’m supporting our troops by saying we need to try, convict, and shoot Hillary Clinton in the vagina.”
Certainly Santilli is not a household name, and his show is only broadcast over the internet. If it wasn’t for a spate of high profile guests on his show, he would be just another rambling nut job on the web. Unfortunately, fellow nut job Ted Nugent recently appeared on the show and called Obama a Nazi. Then Gun Owners of America Director Larry Pratt came on the show to share his theory that Obama is raising a private army to overpower the U.S. government. Classy bunch.
I suppose that freedom isn’t free and in this instance the price is listening to the crazed rantings of a moron.
