The 7 Booths We Spotted at Synapse Summit

The third annual Synapse Summit brought over 7,200 attendees to Amalie Arena over two days for all things technology, startups and innovation in the state. With over 350 speakers, 300 exhibits and 70 sessions, it's a lot to take in.

We rounded up seven startups at Synapse Summit (try saying that 10 times fast) you may have missed during the summit below.

Exiom, a Tampa-based company that provides 3D printed medical casts, launched after CEO Erik Paul's two children broke their arms in the same week.

It is a Tampa Bay Wave cohort company. It has an exclusive contract with Xkelet, which together create patient-specific 3D printed braces. For patients, it feels and looks better and for medical professionals, the solution is faster, easier and more profitable.

After Collette Glover-Hannah's daughter's shoe size "matched her age" for six years straight, she launched Hannah's Shoebox. It's a Tampa-based, e-commerce site that curates shoes sizes 5-11 for young girls with larger feet. Special orders can be placed for up to size 13.

"For a while it was Converse, but for something dressier I wanted something beyond a ballerina flat or four inch heel," she said to Tampa Bay Inno.

Hovr

Hovr is a long distance and event carpool app for those looking to cut the cost and environmental impact of traveling long-distance.

The Miami-based startup partnered with Synapse for the summit and offers its services across the state. Founder Eliecer Vera recommends riders use it for trips over 60 miles. It launched in July 2019.
