American Inno, part of the American City Business Journals, is a network of digital media, events and data properties operating in 15 markets across the country. Inno (short for Innovation) covers, connects and catalyzes growth-stage, tech and startup ecosystems, cultivating a community of a region’s next-gen businesses and business leaders.

Virtual Event Concept:

To create engaging and educational opportunities for local innovation communities, American Inno and its local brands have developed a virtual event platform.

Leveraging GoToWebinar as the core technology, these events will follow the traditional State of Innovation event format. Each event consists of a moderated 30-45 minute discussion on a topic relevant to the Inno audience.  Panelists include topic/industry experts capable of offering an inside take and valuable information for the audience.  Following the panel discussion, there will be a live Q&A allowing the audience to engage directly with panelists.

Where applicable, Inno also invites 4-6 relevant startups to participate in a showcase, enabling each a few minutes to share their own story, digitally.

Digital Options:

The event may occur live with all panelists participating in real time, or with the panel discussion (and showcase) pre-recorded.  In either case, there will be a live Q&A following the panel/showcase.

Timing:

The event will occur at a date/time mutually acceptable for both Inno and the partner.  It will be recorded and available to the Inno/partner audience for four weeks following the event.  Inno requests a lead time of 2-4 weeks to create, program and promote the event.

Markets:

The event may be either locally focused, with both the panelists and topic specific for a given market, or multi-market with a topic and panelists that would applicable across the Inno network.

Attendance:

Event attendance will vary depending upon the markets chosen and the overall timeline of the event, but Inno has been averaging between 250-350 attendees for virtual events.

Presenting Sponsorship Opportunities:

  • Partner name/logo as presenting sponsor on all event promotion including:
  • All mentions in the Beat newsletter for each participating market (~5 per market in the leadup to the event)
  • Featured in the “Inno Events” section in the persistent right rail of the relevant markets’ sites
  • Social shout-outs via Inno social channels (~4 per market)
  • Promotion on Inno’s events directory in relevant markets
  • :30 lead-in/welcome/intro by partner representative (live or pre-recorded)
  • Inclusion in Thank You email sent to all who attended or viewed
  • Participation in topic/theme selection, pending editorial approval of topic
  • Potential inclusion in panel, pending editorial approval of participant
  • Attendee list, including contact information, for all who attend live or view recorded event
  • One native article highlighting/recapping the event and encouraging those unable to attend live to interact with the recording
  • One week of middle banner in the Beat per market included
