While accelerators are pivoting at a time both small and big businesses have gone completely remote, it's not slowing down their work of wanting to help the next generation of entrepreneurs.

The latest is seen with Tampa Bay Innovation Center's newest cohort, comprised of seven local companies. The program will run June 3 through August 19. Officials are hopeful that while the program will be virtual, the showcase event slated for August 17 can happen in person.

“The companies participating in this cohort show us that there is no shortage of innovation and creativity when it comes to business and technology," Chris Paradies, chairman at the center, said in a statement. "We are pleased to be part of the founders’ journey and working with each company as they continue to grow."

The programming specifically helps business receive training and mentoring in customer discovery, investor-readiness and leadership.

The seven startups of the cohort, according to the Tampa Bay Innovation Center, are:

  • Ceres Engineering: a St. Petersburg-based advanced analytics and decision support solution for the trucking and supply chain industry.
  • elitRecruiter: an Odessa-based HRtech company that assists recruiters with the sourcing and vetting of technical talent.
  • LeaseHoney: a St. Petersburg-based AgTech marketplace connecting beekeepers with landowners and real estate investors.
  • Mango Signs: a St. Petersburg-based digital signage as a service platform that helps event venues and merchants connect with customers.
  • Paragon Cyber Solutions: a Tampa-based, veteran-owned, cybersecurity and compliance solution.
  • Real Random: a Tampa-based quantum-resistant, next generation, multi-factor security solution for enterprise user and data security. It was featured as one of the seven booths you may have missed at Synapse.
  • Smart Edge Tech: a Tampa-based supply chain management solution for small to medium size retailers.
